We had to learn metric and imperial measurements at school and most products have both measurements on them (so milk is marked in pints and litres for instance). Americans don't use the 24 hour clock?...

well, it's still the only set of numbers that has a chance to get anywhere near Pi, and it's official.I'm using dd-mm-yyyy date myself and metric system (unless it's recommended otherwise <_< )...

umm........One thing to notice though, the UK and US imperial system are a little bit different. Take a US gallon, its 3.785 litres, but a UK gallon is 4.546 litres.

nope, they use pounds, metric 80 kg, UK imperial 12 stone 8 lb, US imperial 176 us lbs

with a calculator, tables and a computer inches to mm is easy though 0.5 in x 25.4 = 12.7mm convert to inches, divide instead of times1stone is 14 pounds, or 6.35 kg I learned all the different...

Um, AM, we use metric mainly but imperial equivalents are known by most Brits as well. As Nodude said, we learn that in every day life and for us older folks, in school. My dad had an interesting time...
